Precure Kids

Precure Kids are a Japanese musical girl troupe in which girls dress as characters from the Pretty Cure anime series created by Toei Animation. They perform on stage.

Background

Precure began as a tie-up project to the TV anime, Precure, in 2004. The program includes dancing to the opening and ending themes and dialogue. The show is hosted by Kagawa Teruko. It ended in 2009.

Characters

2004

Precure originally had two characters: Cure Black (Misumi Nagisa), played by Ayaka Enomoto; and Cure White (Yukishiro Honoka), played by Miyagi Kaori. They debuted at the BANDAI Museum in Matsudo on 14 April 2004.[1]

2005

The second PreCure series, Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart added a character, Shiny Luminous (Kujou Hikari), played by Miura Saika.[2]

2006

The third PreCure series, Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star, changed characters: Saki Hyuuga (Cure Bloom/Cure Bright) played by Kojima Moe; and Mai Mishou (Cure Egret/Cure Windy), played by Hayakawa Otone. The series debuted at Ariake, Koto ward.[3]

2007

The fourth PreCure series, Yes! PreCure 5 again changed characters and expanded the troupe to five, debuting at Kawasaki. the characters were: Cure Dream (Yumehara Nozomi) played by Hayakawa Otone; Cure Rouge (Natsuki Rin) played by Kojima Moe; Cure Lemonade (Kasugano Urara) played by Iitsuka Yui; Cure Mint (Akimoto Komachi) playing Iita Rena; and Cure Aqua (Minazuki Karen) playing Egawa Riho.[4]

2008

The fifth Precure series, Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo!, retired Yui Iitsuka, and debuted Mao Nakagawa as Cure Lemonade (Kasugano Urara) at Seibu Dome in Saitama.[5]
