Biography

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Anderson lived with his mother and attended Bryant Elementary School, Sayre Jr. High / High School. At the age of ten he came into contact with rapping around his grandmother's neighborhood in Southwest Philadelphia. When he was 12 he started rapping.[3] After graduation from Chad High School he attended Arizona State University where he was introduced to James Harden.

Musical career

Anderson and Harden stayed in touch even after Harden was drafted by Oklahoma City Thunder and later that year had the chance to meet and befriend Kevin Durant. Since Anderson, Harden and Durant shared the love for rap music, the three cooperated with producer C.L. McCoy to release Privaledge's first mixtape Itz a Privaledge. Durant also had a guest appearance on the tracks Worried Bout Tomorrow (2012), Rolls Royce (2016) [4] and Some Winners (2019, with Chevy Woods).

In 2010 Anderson moved to Oklahoma to promote his career as musician. The mixtape The Playbook was released in 2011, featuring artists like Waka Flocka, Kendrick Lamar, YG and DJ Mustard. Playbook's track Kyla Pratt was played regularly by Oklahoma Thunder during their 2011–12 NBA Playoffs.[5] Anderson continued with Joe World the following year, this time in cooperation with Nipsey Hussle, Trina, Mann, Bun B and again Kevin Durant.[6] The next release was They Hated (2015) which also received good reviews.[7]

In 2019 the first studio album Reality was published, addressing racism and police brutality in the USA.[8][9] The following year Anderson released six EPs. Reality and the EP Most Consistent were acclaimed by HNHH.[10][11]
