Przodkowo was a royal village of the Polish Crown, administratively located in the Gdańsk County in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.[2]
During the German occupation (World War II), Przodkowo was one of the sites of executions of Poles, carried out by the Germans in 1939 as part of the Intelligenzaktion.[3] The "death march" of about 11,000 prisoners evacuated by the Germans from the Stutthof concentration camp to Lębork passed through Przodkowo at the turn of January and February 1945.[4] Many prisoners died as a result of hunger, exhaustion and executions by the Germans.[5]
There is a Firefighting Museum (Muzeum Pożarnictwa) in Przodkowo.
The village has a population of 1,286.
