Punyasthree

Punyasthree is a 1986 Telugu-language drama film, produced by K. Benarjee under the Pramoda Art Films banner and directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty. It stars Rajendra Prasad, Karthik and Bhavya, with music composed by Chakravarthy.[2] The film is a remake of the Tamil film Aval Sumangalithan (1985).[3]

Plot

Babu Rao (Gollapudi Maruthi Rao), a watchman to a temple, though he is poor, leads a happy life with his wife Parvathi (Annapurna), daughter Lakshmi (Bhavya) and son Balu (Ali). Babu Rao looks an alliance for Lakshmi. Bhaskar (Karthik) is a civil engineer who lives with a Christian family with Peter (Rajendra Prasad) and his sister Stella (Samyutha). Bhaskar marries Lakshmi. All of them start living very happily; Bhaskar takes care of his in-laws as his own. Bhaskar finds out he is terminally ill with brain cancer. When Lakshmi learns of it, she dies along with Bhaskar, showing that the couple is inseparable even in death.
