Ramón Paz Ipuana
Ramón Paz Ipuana (Yosuitpa, December 17, 1937 – Paraguaipoa, October 27, 1992) was a venezuelan writer, researcher,[1] linguist and poet of wayuu origin. [2] He is considered one of the most important writers in the Wayuu language.[3][4]

Biography
Paz Ipuana worked in the Normal School of Maracaibo forming intercultural bilingual Wayuunaiki-Spanish teachers.[5] After his death in 1992, his daughters Neima, Neida, Mayui, and Esmeralda continued publishing his works based on the manuscripts of traditional wayuu stories he left.[6]
