Rangpur Cantonment

Rangpur Cantonment (Bengali: রংপুর সেনানিবাস) is a cantonment located in Rangpur, Bangladesh.[1] It is the headquarter of 66th Infantry Division of Bangladesh Army.

History

During the Bangladesh Liberation war Pakistan soldiers stationed in the cantonment fought battles against Santals armed with spears.[2] In April 1971 Santals attacked the Cantonment.[3]
