League format

The regional league has almost the same number of clubs as all the other upper leagues combined.

As the name implies, the league is based on a regional principle. It consists of four groups. Regional Football Federation of Imereti organizes the tournament for 'A' group West while 'B' group is supervised by the football governing body of Adjara.[1] Two other groups belong to zone East.[2]

Seasons are played on Spring-Autumn system with winners of each group promoted to Liga 4.
