Research Laboratory High School

The Research Laboratory High School for Bioinformatics and Life Sciences (also known as Research Laboratory High School) is an American high school located in Buffalo, New York. Opening in 2016, the school focuses on bioinformatics and medical science education to students. Presently, the school is housed on the fourth floor of the Bennett Community High School campus. The current principal is Mrs. Angela Cullen, and the current assistant principal is Dr. Christopher Spence.

History

Research Laboratory High School was opened in Fall 2016 as one of four new innovative public high schools opened in the Buffalo Public School District. It was housed on the campus of The Math, Science, Technology Preparatory School from 2016 to 2017, before moving to the Bennett Campus.

Academics

Research Laboratory High School offers a broad-based education in medical science as well as a general education program that teaches to the New York States Board of Regents standards. Students are placed in a science-based college preparatory pathway with electives including medical research and bioinformatics. The school is affiliated with the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.[1][2]
