Riccordia
Riccordia is a genus of birds in the hummingbird family Trochilidae. They are endemic to the Caribbean.

Species
The genus contains six species, of which two are extinct:[1]
- Blue-headed hummingbird, Riccordia bicolor
- † Brace's emerald, Riccordia bracei
- † Gould's emerald, Riccordia elegans
- Puerto Rican emerald, Riccordia maugaeus
- Cuban emerald, Riccordia ricordii
- Hispaniolan emerald, Riccordia swainsonii
These species were formerly placed in the genus Chlorostilbon. A molecular phylogenetic study published in 2014 found that the genus Chlorostilbon was polyphyletic.[2] In the revised classification to create monophyletic genera, these species were moved to the resurrected genus Riccordia that had been introduced in 1854 by Ludwig Reichenbach. Gould's emerald was not included in the phylogenetic studies and thus its placement is uncertain.[1][3]
