Roger Simons

Roger Simons (1927 – 12 July 2020) was a Belgian journalist, reporter and correspondent.[1]

Based in London, Simons was the correspondent of the BRT, (later named BRTN and VRT) between 1961 and 2002.[2] After 2002 he was the correspondent by reporting on the marriage between Prince Charles and Camilla.[3]

Simons contributed to radio and television programs; including the radio program Actueel. He was also the correspondent for the Dutch newspaper Leidsche Courant. He also wrote several books, including "Vanuit Londen" (from London).

He retired in 1992, but continued to work for the VRT. He became an Officer of the Order of Leopold II after his retirement in 1992.[1]

Simons died in London on 12 July 2020, aged 93.[1][4]
