Roker Report

Roker Report is an online fanzine, blog and accompanying series of Podcasts related to English football team Sunderland A.F.C.. It was created in December 2010 by Simon Walsh,[1][2] with the first podcast launching in 2011. The site was shortlisted for a 2018 Football Blogging Award.[3]

Roker Report's website has over thirty regular contributors producing news roundups and opinion pieces on Sunderland. The site also produces two podcasts per week. The Roker Rapport podcast, hosted by Alex McCain, is typically released on a Monday. The show includes reviews of the weekend's match with support from a regular team of contributors and guests, often including local Journalists or broadcasters. The Roker Rapport Exiles podcast, is released at the end of the week, and previews upcoming games with Sunderland supporters who live in various locations throughout the U.K.

In May 2018, Roker Report received widespread attention among Sunderland supporters when Stewart Donald and Charlie Methven gave an exclusive interview on the podcast immediately after buying the club.[4]

Additional special edition podcasts have included interviews with former chairman and Foundation of Light chair Sir Bob Murray,[5] club officials such as Kevin Ball, former managers such as Alan Durban and former players such as Kieran Richardson,[6] Niall Quinn, Kevin Phillips and Lee Cattermole.
