Professional career

Coxon made his debut for Mitre 10 Cup side Tasman in 2017. He played 1 game for the Crusaders in 2018 before he made his Super Rugby debut for the Chiefs against the Hurricanes during the 2019 Super Rugby season and played a total of 4 games for the Chiefs during the 2019 season. He was named in the 2020 Chiefs squad but only played 2 games in the season.[3] Coxon was part of the Tasman side that won the Mitre 10 Cup for the second time in a row in 2020. Despite coming off probably his best provincial campaign yet he was not named in the Chiefs squad for the 2021 Super Rugby season.
