S. W. Dassenaike

S. W. Dassenaike was a Ceylonese engineer and politician.

Educated at Royal College, Colombo, Dassenaike qualified as an engineer and joined the Public Works Department. Following his retirement he was elected to the 1st State Council of Ceylon in 1931 from Colombo South from the Ceylon Labour Party. His daughter Leah Dassenaike was the first wife of Harold Peiris.[1][2]
