SDKJ UAV

SDKJ UAVs are Chinese UAVs developed by Shandong Vast Sky Goose UAV Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (山东长空雁无人机科技有限责任公司), a newly formed subsidiary of Shandong Mining Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (SDKJ, 山东矿机集团股份有限公司), a major provider of mining equipment of coal mining. It is reported that the reason SDKJ ventures into UAV business is to reduce its reliance on coal mining, and UAV is a great tool in exploration of other metallic minerals. UAVs developed by the subsidiary of SDKJ are fixed wing V/STOL UAVs developed by Mr. Zhang Fu-Sheng (张涪生), a former chief engineer of Zhuhai Xing-Yu (meaning Star Universe) Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. (XY Aviation, 珠海星宇航空技术有限公司), who has completed several V/STOL designs and some of which are currently under development. Two UAVs are completed and will be making their respective maiden flight in August 2014. It is reported that once proven successful, SDKJ UAVs will not be limited to mineral survey missions in mineral exploration, and they will be utilized in other arenas such as aerial photography and agriculture.[1]
