Plot

The movie starts out with members of circle (aka Michiru's music group) performing at a convention. This is followed up by Katou Megumi, Tomoya Aki meeting up with everyone for an after-event party and discussing the progress of Blessing Software's game for the second winter komiket. Kasumigaoka and Eriri go on and tease Megumi about the first kiss Tomoya had and his reaction to it (Season 2 last episode). The group is cheerfully enjoying when Kosaka Akane walks in, complaining that Kasumigaoka and Eriri submitted their work late and also did a shabby job on it. They have a conflict on some of the scenes of the work they submitted and argue about the many possibilities which can make it better.

Tomoya has hit a slump and is unable to make progress on the main heroine route of the game, he spends sleepless nights trying to come up with a screenplay for it. Megumi meets him at his house and reminds him about their schedule and that they are about to miss a deadline. Tomoya realizes that getting someone's opinion on his script can help him pursue a particular direction, and sets up an appointment with Kasumigaoka, as she's busy Akane agrees to review his work. She criticizes that his script is too pure, in a sense that it's not something many would pursue in today's world. She advices him to add something more unpure/dirty to catch the viewers' attention. Tomoya returns home and sets up a date with Megumi on her birthday to explore what an unpure scene would look like. Megumi is waiting for Tomoya, but Tomoya calls her, and tells her that he won't be able to meet her and calls off the date.

It is shown that Tomoya finds Akane unconscious on the street and calls an ambulance to get her admitted to a hospital. The doctor examines her and tells them that she had a stroke and short term paralysis of her right hand. Tomoya, Kasumigaoka and Eriri are devastated after learning about this. With Akane out of office, the work related to their game project would have to go according to the Main director's schedule. As Eriri and Kasumigaoka evolve continuously in terms of their work, Akane wanted to wait for them to come with something amazing which they're proud of. They wanted a few more weeks to perfect their work and to call it noteworthy. They decide on asking Tomoya to plead with the Main director and delay the release by 2 weeks so they can perfect their work. Tomoya tells Megumi about the incident and also about his plans to go convince the Director to delay his timelines. Megumi is heartbroken that he is willing to give up on everything they worked on until now to help Eriri and Kasumigaoka, does the circle's work and Megumi not mean anything to him ??

Tomoya convinces the director to delay the schedule by 2 weeks and stays with Eriri to help the duo complete their work in time. Megumi is sad and decides to take over the leadership role in the circle to stay on schedule and finish the game. A conversation about Tomoya comes up and Megumi ends up confessing her feelings for him in front of Michiru and Izumi. Izumi is also able to draw a lot of expressions from her emotional state. Tomoya helps Eriri and Kasumigaoka complete their work and sets up a meeting with Megumi to catch up and also let her know that he has a script for the Main heroine's route for the game. Megumi questions him and asks him to end the story, and Tomoya confesses his feelings for her, which she accepts and the pair kiss. They patch up and Megumi understands their relationship (Tomoya <---> Kasumigaoka, Eriri).

They start working on Blessing software's game, and Eriri and Kasumigaoka come to Tomoya's house to help with the finishing touches with their game. They finish the game, sell 2k+ copies of it and enjoy the winter komiket.

The post-credits scene shows Megumi and Tomoya getting married and meeting up with the initial members of the circle at their house. Megumi and Tomoya are now the chairman and vice chairwoman of game development, and hire professional writer (Kasumigaoka) and illustrator (Eriri) for their next game.
