Shahnaz (Persian: شهناز) or Shehnaz is a given name and surname, generally to a girl. The name is made from شاه (Shah, "king"), and ناز (Naz, "pride"), so the name means "pride of the king".
Shahnaaz is a female Dari name that can be translated in English as "sweet music".
