Sharda University

Sharda University is a private university located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh near the National Capital Region, India. Founded in 2009, the University was established through an act of the State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh (14 of 2009) and offers 216 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across various disciplines like engineering, management, law, mass communication, journalism, design, allied Health, humanities, medical, dental, arts, etc. These Programmes are approved by the University Grants Commission (Govt. of India) and registered under Section 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956.

The school is part of the Sharda Group of Institutions, which was founded by P.K Gupta in 1996. The group has campuses in Agra, Mathura, and Greater Noida.

"Sharda", the name of the university, is another name for Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, arts, wisdom.
