Shital K Upare

Shital Upare, also known as Shital K Upare, is an Indian model and actress known for her work in Indian Cinema. She came into limelight winning the 2nd runners up position in Miss Heritage International[1] and then grabbed attention playing a vital role in IPL The Film directed by Deepak Kadam starring Swapnil Joshi, Santosh Mayekar, Shital K Upare, Kshitija Ghosalkar, Vijay Patkar.[2]

Career

Shital was born and brought up in a Marathi family who migrated to Singapore from Nagpur years before she was born. She started her career as a Flight attendant with Singapore Airlines. With her interest towards the glamour industry since childhood, she tried her hands in by participating in the beauty contest Miss Heritage International and claimed 2nd Runners Up position there.[3][4][5][6] Shital surprised everyone by winning the crown of Miss Progress India 2014 pageant.[7]

After winning the 2nd runners up position in the beauty contest she got opportunity to act in many regional films and director [[Deepak Kadam] first casted her in his romantic comedy movie IPL (Indian Premacha Lafda). Along with her in the movie casted Swapnil Joshi in her opposite. After her successful appearance in marathi Industry she acted in few Short Films.

Now her two films from Tollywood Veermundanpatti (Tamil) and Ahilya (telugu) are in post production and due release in 2021. Shital was casted in upcoming Marathi Cinema fil Monsoon Football along side of Sagarika Ghatge under the direction of Milind Ukey,[8] but then there is a news came out as she opted out of the project due to creative differences.[9]

Other projects

Recently Shital was in news for her debut in OTT platform.[10] She is casted in Ghost Dost opposite to Athar Siddiqui.[11][12][13]
