Sifet Podžić

Sifet Podžić (born 1 May 1959) is a Bosnian politician who is the current Minister of Defence and former Army commander. He has been a member of the Democratic Front (DF) since 2013.

Podžić is a former member of the House of Peoples and the first Chief of Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.[1] He has also served as the Bosnia and Herzegovina Ambassador to Bulgaria.[2]

Personal life

Podžić is married and has two children.

On 14 January 2021, it was confirmed that he tested positive for COVID-19, amid its pandemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina.[3]
