Siwandih

Siwandih is a developing suburb and major neighbourhood in Bokaro, Jharkhand, India. It is one of the major neighbourhood and a suburb in the city of Bokaro. This is usually and mainly a settlement for Muslims. This is place where many Muslims resides here. Siwandih has each and every facilities.[1]

As it is a developing neighbourhoood. A highway crosses this place. This is one of the largest neighbourhoods of the city. And also one of the major suburbs and neighbourhoods of the city of Bokaro.

Now in recent years this area has sawn a rapid development. Earlier time residents of this place where residing in another place which is known as Marafari. But after that they need to shift here. This place have many schools and colleges. This place also have a commercial area and market.[2]

Location and Connectivity

This area is well connected by other places such as Sector 4, City Center, Marafari, Balidih, Nayamore and Ukrid etc. One of the highways is crossing this place and area. Auto rikshaws are also available for this place.

This place is in the southern of the city. So this place is nearer to other places such as Balidih and Marafari etc.

Siwandih is only 4 km from Bokaro Steel City railway station, 4 km from Bus Stand, 5 km from Airport.

History

In the earlier the residents of this place were leaving in Marafari. Where is now the Bokaro Steel Plant and it is now a major industrial hub of the city. However after the establishment of the steel plant, the area saw a development in the field of industry. And the development started. After the establishment of various industries. The land of Marafari was taken by the business peoples and governments. And another place was arranged which is now Siwandih. And this peoples relocatde from Marafari to the area of Siwandih in southern side.

In recent years the area has saw a huge development in many things such as commerce, residence and education etc. Even though now Islampur has the market. By which there is not much difficulty in buying things from here. Now here various supermarkets and shopping malls has also being opened here.
