Marafari
Marafari is a neighbourhood in Bokaro Steel City, which is an industrial area of Jharkhand, India, that is home to many companies, including the Bokaro Steel Plant. It is one of the largest industrial areas in the world. The area was formerly home to people who moved to Siwandih after the area saw the development of the steel plant and other industrial hubs.

History
In earlier times this area was a settlement for the people who currently reside at Siwandih. At that time it was a Basti (basically a colony for the middle class in India). When other industrial places were built, including Bokaro Steel Plant, this area was taken by Industry, the former residents moved to Siwandih after the 1980s.
Industry
The Bokaro Steel Plant, with its two cooling ponds, is a major tourist attraction. BPSCL Power Plant is also located in this area. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation is a leading fossil fuels company that is headquartered in Delhi but it has a major branch in this place. RMP is a chemical manufacturer. Upcoming projects
SAIL-POSCO JV Steel Plant: Steel minister Sri Virbhadra Singh has announced another new steel plant for Bokaro as part of a joint venture with Posco and SAIL by using FINEX technologies for high quality steel. The capacity of the plant will be 1.5 mt, establish in BSP periphery of 500 acres (2.0 km2).
Bharat Petroleum and oil Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited - BPCL will set up a LPG bottling plant and POL (petroleum, oil and lubricants) terminal in Bokaro, the foundation stone of which was laid on 11 August 2019.

Purani Masjid is a mosque at Marafari. It is one of the most beautiful mosques in the area. There are also other mosques such as Manjladih Masjid and other mosques. The Purani Masjid in Marafari is one beautiful mosque in this place. It could be nearer to the steel plant.
