Skarvanes
Skarvanes (Danish: Skarvenæs) is a village on Sandoy, in the Faroe Islands.

Its last permanent inhabitant died in 2000, although there was still a family of four living in a nearby valley.[1] Later a few more people moved back to the village.
At the moment (2014) there are three families living there: one of them is a family of five – 3 children and two parents. Another family is made up of 3 people, one child and two parents. Lastly there is a father and son. In total there are 10 people living there regularly.
Most of the houses in the scenic village are used as summer houses and for similar purposes nowadays.
