Southampton Dragons

The Southampton Dragons were a rugby league team based in Southampton, New York. They played in the American National Rugby League (AMNRL) during the 2013 season, the last year the AMNRL hosted its domestic competition. They were captained and coached by former Queensland Cup player Craig Priestly.

History

The Dragons were founded in February 2013.[1] Their first match was a 60-6 thrashing against the Aston Bulls.[2] They ended up reaching the league semi-finals, losing to the Connecticut Wildcats 50-16.[3] The team suspended operations when the AMNRL folded its domestic competition after the 2013 season.
