Spring 3100

Spring 3100 is a magazine published by the New York Police Department for current and retired members of the service.[1] It was first published in March 1930.[1] The name comes from the very old phone number for calling the NYPD, SPring 7-3100.[1] Before 1971 the magazine enjoyed higher levels of circulation and had 35,000 subscribers.[1]

In May 1971 the magazine temporarily folded, and in February 1972 resumed publication.[1] It was also not published from 1979 to 1988.[2]
