St Bede's College (Bentleigh East)

St Bede's College, Bentleigh East (formerly St James College) is a campus of St Bede's College that caters for years 7–10, located in Bentleigh East, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. The school has around 470 students, and is administered by the De La Salle Brothers, a teaching order of Christian Brothers. The campus director as of 2012 is Stephen Pooley. At the beginning of 2021, St James College was amalgamated into St Bede's College, adopting both the name and uniform of the Mentone school and operating as a campus of that college.[1][2]

History

St Bede's College, Bentleigh East, was opened in the 1970s under the name of St James College. Some of its students, including Corey Lyons and Ljubo Milicevic, went on to play in Australian sports.[3][4]
