Stephanie Stahl Hamilton

Stephanie Stahl Hamilton is a Democratic member of the Arizona House of Representatives elected to District 10 in November 2020. Stephanie is also an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church USA.

Education and career

Stephanie attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education in May 1990. She later attended Princeton Theological Seminary where she received her Master of Divinity in May 2003. Stephanie worked for Flagstaff Federated Community Church as the Director of Christian Education and Youth Ministry.

She later went on to work at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, PCUSA as the Director of Youth Ministry in 2004. From 2009 to 2015, Stephanie worked at the Montlure Presbyterian Church Camp as the Executive Director. She has also served on multiple community-led organizations. She served on the Pima County Interfaith Council and on the TUSD Parent Advocacy Council, with her focus on the Family Life Curriculum.

In 2018, Stephanie worked on the Save Our Schools campaign as the Regional Lead for Southern Arizona. The Save Our Schools campaign focuses on engaging Arizona citizens with non-partisan, objective facts on Arizona's education system and working education groups, businesses, and community leaders to support Arizona's public school system.[1]

Elections

2020 In the August primary, Stephanie Stahl Hamilton ran for the Arizona State House of Representatives, Legislative District 10. Incumbent Domingo DeGrazia and Stephanie Stahl-Hamilton won the two seats, beating out candidate Paul Stapleton Smith.[2] Stephanie Stahl Hamilton and Domingo DeGrazia won the general election, defeating Republican opponents, Mabelle Gummere and Michael Hicks.[3]
