Stephen Jolly (academic)

A former senior British Defence official and Army officer, Jolly has held a variety of academic fellowships. He was a Senior Research Fellow at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom and a Fellow of RAND Europe (2015-6). He has held Visiting Fellowships at the International Centre for Security Analysis, King's College, London, (1999–2002),[3] at the Centre for Strategic Communications, War Studies Department, King's College, London (2015–18),[4] at the British think tank ResPublica (2016–19), at RAND Europe (2019-2020). In 2020, Jolly was elected an Honorary Fellow of the Institute for Statecraft and an Honorary Member of the Pen & Sword Club.

Jolly is a trustee of a family charity, Edward Jolly's Charity, founded in 1784. The charity focuses on the relief of child food poverty.

Between 2016-20, Jolly worked as Director of the Saatchi Institute, a private think tank headquartered in London, and as a director in M&C Saatchi's global behavioural change practice before joining a boutique geopolitics firm as its first CEO.

Jolly is currently a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge Centre for Film & Screen.
