Background and development

In May 2014, Cheryl announced her plans to release her first fragrance.[1][2] She further announced the scent's name as StormFlower, after unveiling the fragrance's promotional ad.[1][2]

StormFlower's promotional campaign was directed and shot by photographer Rankin.

Release

Promotion

Cole launched StormFlower on 23 July 2014, at a launch party in central London.[3] A television advert was unveiled in July 2014 to promote the fragrance.[4]

Response

StormFlower broke sales records following its early release to The Perfume Shop, outselling rival scents from Rihanna, Britney Spears and One Direction.[5]
