Story 9 Months Ki (transl. Story of 9 months)[2] is an Indian television drama series on Sony TV. It premiered on 23 November 2020.[3] Produced by Rangrez Television Works, it stars Sukirti Kandpal and Aashay Mishra.[4]

Synopsis
This is the story of two completely different individuals, Alia Shroff, an independent and successful woman entrepreneur from Mumbai and Sarangdhar Brij Pandey, an aspiring writer from Mathura. The lives, of these two individuals, crossroads when Alia decides to become a single mother through IVF and Sarangdhar becomes her donor.[5]
Plot
Alia is a head strong woman who has planned everything and achieved it. She lives with her dad Gautam shroff, who is always showing off has never cared for her and stay away from her mother because she left her to become a painter. Alia is married to Veer malhotra and needs a child now. Veer is in relationship with Alia's friend Nitya and Alia gets to know this and leaves and plans her baby through IVFOn the other hand Sarangdhar a writer watches her interview comes to Mumbai to make his identity. He gets he get job in Alia's company as a office Runner by mistake and then realising sarang worth appoints him as a writer. Rahul, Alia's employee was given a work to find the donar and does not gets one and convinces sarang to donate. Whereas Kavya, Sarangdhar friend tells him that she loves him and Sarangdhar confused in emotion asks her to be her girlfriend for 1 month. After Alia gets pregnant, Rabia Alia's childhood bestfriend and doctor gets to know about the blunder and informs Alia , truth comes in front of Sarangdhar and fiddles with his emotions and even Alia tells him that he is not ready for child neither emotionally nor financially. But after thinking for sometime Sarangdhar decides he will take care of the child. But in mean time Alia gets to know she is pregnant with 2 babies. Whereas media gets know about alias pregnancy and her IVF and people protest against her but sarang tries all his might to alia and his baby (here he does not knows that he is going to became the father of 2 babies). Now to get rid of sarang alia starts to find his weakness and gets to know that his weakness can be kavya or brij Mohan Pandey(sarang's father).

Reception
CNN-News18 termed the storyline of the show 'progressive'.[9] The show was lauded by film producer Farah Khan and actress Anita Hassanandani for delving into the subject of motherhood through IVF and supporting a woman's choice to be a mother.[10][11]
Ratings
In UK, show launched with 10,400 viewers on November 23, 2020[12] but showed significant increase with 55,300 viewers next day (November 24, 2020),[13] finishing the week with 37,200 viewers and third place for Sony TV on 26th November, 2020.[14] During its second week of airing, show gained highest 55,400 viewers on Tuesday (December 1, 2020), ranking first on Sony TV and third overall.[15] Show retained its place in Top-5 shows in UK during the rest of the week with 42,800 viewers on Wednesday (December 2, 2020)[16] and 43,700 viewers on Thursday (December 3, 2020).[17]
