Strick (rapper)

Tauren O'lander Strickland (born January 10, 1986), known professionally as Strick, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. He is signed to Young Thug's YSL Records, 300 Entertainment, and Atlantic Records.

Early life and career

Tauren O'lander Strickland was born on January 1, 1986, in North Carolina. He joined the Air Force after attending college at High Point University. In 2016, he began working closely with producer TM88.[1] That year, Strick co-wrote 4 songs on TM88, Wiz Khalifa, and Juicy J’s collaborative album Rude Awakening, "Ballin" by Juicy J, and "Coordinate" by Travis Scott, from Scott's Platinum[2] album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight.[1]

In 2017, he released the single "100 Degrees" featuring Young Thug.[3] That same year, he released the mixtape risk=reward. The followup mixtape, risk=reward 2, was released in 2018. That same year, he featured on Young Thug's song "STS" from the Young Stoner Life Records album Slime Language.[1] He officially signed to YSL Records/300 Entertainment in October 2018.[1] In January 2019, he released the EP See You When I Land.[4][5] In June, he released the compilation album The Machine, Vol. 1.[6] In July 2020, he released the single "Yacht Club" with Young Thug and Ty Dolla $ign.[7]
