Stukely Ellsworth
Stukely Ellsworth (September 26, 1769 West Greenwich, Kent County, Rhode Island - March 31, 1837 Hartwick Otsego County, New York) was an American politician from New York.
Life
He was the son of Judiah Aylworth (d. 1800), a member of the Rhode Island General Assembly in 1776, and Rosanna (née Edwards, widowed Stafford) Aylworth (d. 1809). In April 1795, he married Mercy Harrington (1775–1856).
He was a member of the New York State Assembly (Otsego Co.) in 1818 and 1820-21.
He was a member of the New York State Senate (6th D.) from 1825 to 1828, sitting in the 48th, 49th, 50th and 51st New York State Legislatures.
His son Waterman Ellsworth (b. 1797) was an assemblyman from Chautauqua County in 1839.
