Tamika Montgomery–Reeves
Tamika Renee Montgomery–Reeves (born April 29, 1981)[3][4] is an American lawyer and judge. She is an Associate Justice on the Delaware Supreme Court.

Education
Montgomery–Reeves received her bachelor's degree, magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi[5] and her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.[6]
Legal career
Montgomery–Reeves practiced at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Wilmington where she focused on corporate governance and business litigation. She also practiced at Weil Gotshal & Manges in New York, where she focused on corporate governance and securities litigation.[6]
Court of Chancery
On October 13, 2015, Governor Jack Markell nominated Montgomery–Reeves to the Delaware Court of Chancery to succeed Vice–Chancellor Vice Chancellor Donald F. Parsons Jr..[5]
Appointment to Delaware Supreme Court
On October 24, 2019, Governor John Carney announced the nomination of Tamika Montgomery–Reeves to be an Associate Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court, to the fill vacancy left by the elevation of Collins J. Seitz Jr. to be Chief Justice.[6] On November 7, 2019, her nomination was confirmed by the Delaware Senate. She is the first African-American Justice.[7] She was sworn into office on January 3, 2020.[8]
