Tarap (film)

Tarap is a 2006 Pakistani Urdu film directed by Sangeeta. The film was a flop in Lahore, but successful in Karachi. It was shot in Dubai and Lahore. It is known for its popular soundtrack.[1]

Release

The film was released on 24 October 2006 (Pakistan), Eid-ul-Fittar.[1] This is a big-budget film (by local standards at least) shot in beautiful locations in both Dubai and Pakistan. It was a hit, but flopped in Lahore. The film was hyped enough by local media due to its budget. and co-producer was M.Asif from London.

Trivia

With Tarap, Sangeeta seems determined not to repeat past mistakes. "It is a family-oriented film with a strong social message. If it fails, I will be forced to reconsider making Punjabi action movies once again," she said.

The music is composed by Wajid Ali Nashad and the film song lyrics were by Ahmad Anees.
