Tariq Saleem Sheikh

Tariq Saleem Sheikh is Lahore based law jurist and Judge of Lahore High Court,[1] Lahore and grew up in Lahore. He graduated from Punjab University.[2] Before elevation to Lahore High Court,[3] he was member of Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan and Prosecutor of Narcotics department Government of Pakistan.[4][5]

Early life and education

Tariq was born on June 24, 1965 in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his basic education from Lahore. He earned his Law Degree LL.B. from University Law College Punjab University[6] Lahore in 1989, and entered in the legal profession by joining Dr. Basit's Law Firm.[7]

Appointment as Justice

As a lawyer he contributed and demonstrated a significant role in the bar and society. The President of Pakistan appointed him as judge of the Lahore High Court, Lahore on 26 November 2016 and he took the oath as judge of the Lahore High Court along with fellow Judges who were also appointed.[6] Justice Tariq is a class fellow of Justice Ali Baqar Najafi, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, and Khawaja Tariq Sohail, Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan, who remained a two-time member executive of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan.
