Taylor Russell

Taylor Russell (born July 18, 1994) is a Canadian actress. She is known for starring on the show Lost in Space and in the films Escape Room and Waves.

Life and career

Russell was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and was raised in Toronto, Ontario. Her father is black and her mother is white.[1]

She stars as Judy Robinson in Lost in Space, the Netflix remake of the original 1965 TV series.[2] The second season was released on Netflix on December 24, 2019.[3]

In 2019, Taylor co-starred in the psychological horror film Escape Room. She starred in the film Waves, which was released by A24 Films on November 15, 2019.[4] Taylor was honored with the Virtuoso Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in January 2020 for her performance in the film.[5] She is in talks for a leading role in the Luca Guadagnino-directed film titled Bones & All alongside actor Timothée Chalamet, according to Deadline. [6]
