Thalli Pogathey (film)

Thalli Pogathey (transl.Don't go away) is an upcoming Indian Tamil romantic comedy-drama film directed and produced by R. Kannan which is a Tamil remake of 2017 Telugu film Ninnu Kori. This film stars Atharvaa, Anupama Parameswaran and Amitash Pradhan.This film is produced by R. Kannan himself under the banner Masala Pix, in association with MKRP Productions. Gopi Sunder, who was the composer for original film, composed music for the film also. Selva RK and N Shanmuga Sundaram are the editor and cinematographer of this movie respectively. The title is inspired by the song of the same name from Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (2016).[1]

Plot

The plot revolves around Karthik (Atharvaa), Pallavi (Anupama Parameswaran) and Arun (Amitash Pradhan). When Karthik declines her proposal to elope, Pallavi marries Arun and emigrates to France. Karthik who still is in love with Pallavi, also lands up in the France a year later in the hope of winning her back.

Cast

Production

Atharvaa and Anupama Parameswaran were cast in the lead roles with Vaibhav speculated to also be a part of the cast.[4][5] The media reports proved to be false and Amitash Pradhan was cast in the lead.[3] Vidyullekha Raman reprises her role from the original film.[6] The film was shot in Chennai, Russia, as well as Baku and Xızı in Azerbaijan.[7][8][9] The cast and crew hiked up a mountain in Xızı for a five minute shot in the film.[9] The film is set in Lille, France.[10]

Soundtrack

Music of the film was composed by Gopi Sunder.[11] Songs from the original Telugu version were retained and remade in Tamil.[12] Kabilan Vairamuthu penned lyrics.
