"The Circle" was released in September 1996[1] and reached number 6 in the UK Singles Chart.[2] It is taken from their 1996 album Moseley Shoals and was the fourth and final single to be released from this album, following "The Riverboat Song", "You've Got It Bad" and "The Day We Caught the Train". Like the previous single, this single was also released as an acoustic alternative on a second CD, with additional B-sides. The song was also covered by Journey South in 2006.
