Premise

The story follows Ellie (Felicity Jones), a young journalist in contemporary London who uncovers a series of love letters in the archives which tell the story of an intensely romantic but star-crossed affair in the 1960s between Jennifer Stirling (Shailene Woodley) & Anthony O’Hare (Callum Turner). As Ellie is drawn into the story, she becomes obsessed with discovering the lovers’ identities and finding out how their love story ends…

Production

In August 2019 it was announced that Augustine Frizzell would direct the film.[3] It was announced that filming was set to begin on 14 October 2019 in Mallorca on the film, Felicity Jones and Shailene Woodley were announced to star, as well as serve as executive producers.[4] Production moved to the United Kingdom and wrapped after 45 days on 15 December 2019.

Release

The film is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on 12 March 2021, by StudioCanal.[5] The film will be released on Netflix in March 2021, in all other territories excluding France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, and Scandinavia, where StudioCanal and Svensk will distribute.[6][7]
