The Mary Van Note Show is an American television and web series, which airs on the IFC in the United States. The first episode premiered July 7, 2008.[1]

Mary Van Note is an eccentric girl on a quest to win the heart of her one true love, Gavin Newsom, San Francisco's mayor. Each episode takes her one step closer to winning him over.[2]
The each episode runs about three to four minutes long, and in that time viewers see Mary do everything from selling conversation for five cents to creating a restaurant in her home as a makeshift setting for dates.[3]
The show was produced and filmed in San Francisco.
Awards
The Mary Van Note Show won Best Sketch Comedy Series at the 2009 Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival.[4]
