The Medyo Late Night Show with Jojo A. is a Philippine television late night talk show hosted by Jojo Alejar. It premiered in 2005.

History

The program originally broadcast on RJTV as Jojo A. All The Way in 2005 but the following year, at the height of Jojo Alejar's resurgence, his show was renamed The Medyo Late Nite Show with Jojo A. All The Way (English: "The Quite Late Night Show...") before moving to Q (now GMA News TV) on October 5, 2007.

The program later moved to Q (now GMA News TV) on October 8, 2007[1] in search of a ratings gain. The show was ended in 2008.

The program, resurfaced as Jojo A.: All The Way, when it was formally launched. It moved to TV5 on June 1, 2009 and is now gunning for its eighth season in spite of its late night schedule.[2] The show was ended in a season finale on TV5 In September 27, 2013 due to the network's lineup revamp.

On January 6, 2014, The Medyo Late Night Show With Jojo A. All The Way transferred to GMA Network.[3] It has ended on December 5, 2014.

On May 10, 2015, the program returned to TV5 after a one-season run on GMA-7. On May 11, 2015, the program aired at 11:30 pm, also the show's exactly's 10th anniversary of the longest running comedy variety talk show on Philippine TV. On November 6, 2015, the show was ended once again.

In 2018, the program has new network on PTV after aired from TV5 for 3 years. On April 30, 2018, the program aired at 11 pm. The show was ended on November 16, 2018. Also, after ending its affiliation with Solar Entertainment / 2nd Avenue, RJTV starts airing archived episodes of the program from 2005 to 2007 as part of its digital test broadcast since June 6.

On February 6, 2020, the program returned to the original network RJDigiTV after 15 years in 2007 and after two-season run on PTV 4. The program aired in our live episode every Thursday Night at 9 pm to 10 pm.[4]

Format

Similar to American late night talk shows, the show begins with a monologue by Alejar. Alejar then introduces the house band as he proceeds to his desk. After that are the different skits such as "Words of Wisdom". He then introduces his guest and conducts an interview. He also has a segment called Anak ng Photo. Gravure idol China Roces delivers the "Cool News" segment as Alejar's indroduce Roces as China-kamakulit, China-kasexy and China-kamaganda.

After the interview, Alejar introduces an up-and-coming band to end the show.
