In 1943, Columbia Pictures used the title again for another newspaper picture, but it had a completely different plot and was not a remake. That film had Lee Tracy as managing editor of a newspaper, and starred Guy Kibbee as the publisher. The title of the 1943 film is Power of the Press, with no "The."
