Theo Boosten

Theodorus "Theo" Boosten (21 February 1929 Hoensbroek, Netherlands - 14 April 1994 Heerlen, Netherlands[1]) was a Dutch international football referee.[2][3]

Career

He refereed 3 international matches.[4] He officiated a EURO 1976 qualification match played between Sweden-Northern Ireland (0:2) and two friendly matches in 1969-71, one of them was a match in 1968–71 Nordic Football Championship.

In club football, he officiated some UEFA competition matches such as in Champions League (4), UEFA Cup (9) and Cup Winners Cup (1).[5] He refereed 194 Eredivisie matches in 1964-76. He also officiated 1973–74 KNVB Cup final.

Personal life

He was chairman of Referee Committee of Royal Dutch Football Association.[6]
