Tiger Team (TV series)

Tiger Team is an American television show that aired on TruTV (formerly CourtTV).

The show follows a civilian tiger team composed of Chris Nickerson, Luke McOmie, and Ryan Jones, members of Alternative Technology, an Information Security company from Colorado, which is hired to infiltrate organizations with the objective of testing their weaknesses to electronic, psychological, tactical, and physical threats. Attacks executed on organizations in this television show include social engineering, wired and wireless hacking, and physically breaking into buildings.

Tiger Team's first two episodes aired Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at 11:00 pm ET and 11:30 pm ET. The first episode is available on TruTV's website in streaming flash format.[1] The first two episodes were re-aired, back-to-back, on June 16, 2008.

Episodes

  • S01E01: The Car Dealership Takedown. The Tiger Team tests the security of Symbolic Motors, an exotic car dealership located in La Jolla, California. In this episode, the Tiger Team employs two distinct social engineering attacks, one rogue wireless access point attack, and a complex physical attack to gain unabated access to sensitive customer information and millions of dollars' worth of cars on the show room floor.
  • S01E02: 24 Karat Caper. The Tiger Team tests the security of Jason of Beverly Hills, a custom jeweler located in Beverly Hills, California. In this episode, the Tiger Team employs a social engineering attack, an RFID cloning attack, a complex physical attack, and a safe-cracking attack to gain access to millions of dollars' worth of precious gems and sensitive customer information.

Future

According to Richard Bejtlich at Tao Security, TruTV now says that Tiger Team was a special, and will not become a series.

The television station A&E is looking into making a similar show with the same cast.
