Tiruvarankulam Hari Theertheswarar temple

Tiruvarankulam Hari Theertheswarar temple (திருவரங்குளம் ஹரி தீர்த்தேஸ்வரர் கோயில்)[1] is a Siva temple situated at Pudukottai district of Tamil Nadu. It is also known as Arangulanathar Temple.

Rajagopura

Location

It is situated at Tiruvarankulam in Pudukottai district.[2]

Presiding deity

The presiding deity of the temple is known as Arangulanathar. He is also known as Haritirttesvarar. His consort is known as Prahadambal.[2]

Shrines

The rajagopura was built during the period of Pandyas.[2] In the kosta of the presiding deity Dakshinamurthy, Lingotpavar, Brahma and Durga are found. Surya, Veerabadra, Saptamatas, Vinayaka, 63 Nayanmars, Subramania with consorts, Jestavadevi, Gajalakshmi, Nataraja, Chandikesvara and others are found. At the left side the shrine of Prahadambal is found.

Festivals

Among other festivals Vaikasi Visakam and Adi Pooram are celerbrated in this temple. During Adippouram the car festival is celebrated.[2]
