Triangle K

Triangle K is a kosher certification agency under the leadership of Rabbi Aryeh R. Ralbag. It was founded by his late father, Rabbi Yehosef Ralbag.[1]

Their hechsher is a letter "K" enclosed in an equilateral triangle. They supervise a number of major brands, including Del Monte, Hebrew National,[2] Ocean Spray, Sunsweet, Sunny Delight, SunChips and Wonder Bread.[3]

Triangle K has long been a source of controversy within the Orthodox community.[4] While many Orthodox Jews eat only glatt kosher,[5] Triangle K continues to certify foods which are not "glatt".[6]

Former

Minute Maid formerly[7] was supervised by Triangle K; as of 2013, the Orthodox Union (OU) provides kosher ceritification.[8]

K MESHULASH

The name "K Meshulash" is sometimes used in addition to the trademarked Triangle K name.[9] The word means triangle or triple(d) in Hebrew.
