Severe Tropical Storm Utor, known in the Philippines as Feria, was a storm that formed in 2001.[1]

Severe Tropical Storm Utor, which developed on June 30 east of the Philippines, brushed northern Luzon on the 4th as a 90 mph (140 km/h) typhoon. It continued west-northwestward to hit southeastern China on the 6th.

Impacts

Utor, while not a very strong storm, brought heavy rain causing landslides and flooding. Damages amounted to greater than $37 million (2001 USD) in damage, as well as causing at least 163 fatalities.[2]
