Uroš Kovačević

Uroš Kovačević (Serbian Cyrillic: Урош Ковачевић) (born 6 May 1993) is a Serbian volleyball player, member of the Serbia men's national volleyball team, gold medallist of the 2016 World League, two–time European Champion (2011, 2019), two–time Slovenian Champion (2011, 2012).

Personal life

He has two older brothers: Savo and Nikola (born 1983). Nikola is also a volleyball player.

National team

He is a gold medallist of the 2011 European Championship.[1] In 2011 Kovačević received the award from the Olympic Committee of Serbia and DSL Sport for the best young athlete.[2] He was a member of the national team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. On 19 July 2015 Serbian national team with him in squad reached the final of the FIVB World League, but they lost with France 0–3 and achieved silver medals.[3][4] He was named MVP of the 2019 European Championship where Serbia won the gold medal.[5]
