Várong is a village in Tolna county, Hungary. A few vikings from Russia were settled here.[3][4]

- the Hungarian King Béla III (~1148-1196) summoned the above mentioned varangian warriors (Greek:varangoi) to his Hungarian court. He allowed them to settle in the countryside, where their name is preserved in the Hungarian place-name Várong (Tolna County).
