V. Ramasubramanian

V. Ramasubramanian (born 30 June 1958) is a Judge of Supreme Court of India. He is former Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court. He is also former Judge of Madras High Court and Telangana High Court.[1][2]

Early life

He received his bachelor’s degree in science from Vivekananda College in Chennai. After that, he graduated in law from the Madras Law College. He enrolled as a member of the Bar on February 16, 1983.[3] For 23 years, he practiced in High Court of Madras and other forums before being appointed as an additional Judge at the Madras High Court on July 31, 2006. Later, he was appointed as the permanent Judge on November 9, 2009. After this, he was moved to High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in 2016. When the two states were divided, he remained with the state of Telangana. On 22 June 2019, he became the chief justice of Himachal Pradesh and after that on 23.09.2019 (forenoon) he was elevated as a Judge of Honourable Supreme Court of India.[4]
