Vadim Ermolaev

Vadym Ermolaev (Ukrainian: Вадим Володимирович Єрмолаєв) is a Ukrainian businessman and investor. A millionaire, Ermolaev is rated as the 23rd richest person in Ukraine by the Focus (as of 2020). Married, has four children.

Biography

He was born in Dnipro.[1] In 1987 he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk College of Technology and Economics[2]

In 1995, Vadim Ermolaev created a company called "Primus inter pares" [3][4] Now it’s called Alef.

Forbes ranked him as 4th on the list of the most influential Dnipropetrovsk businessman and called him the main developer of Dnipro.[5][6] Also, Ermolaev is called the developer, who has changed the urban architecture,.[7][8][9]

The net worth of the CEO of the commercial-manufacturing corporation Alef is $322 million so that he is rated as one of the hundred Ukrainian rich men.[10]

In April 2004, Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine officially allowed The Procter&Gamble Company to buy an integral property complex ZAO Olvia Beta Cleaning Products Co (in Pokrov (formerly Ordzhonikidze), Dnipropetrovsk Oblast), 25% of which was the Ermolaev's property holdings.[11]

At the end of 2006, Vadym Ermolaev sold ZAO Agrobank to Czech financial group PPF, which manages assets to the value of more than $60 billion.[12]

In 2012, Vadym Ermolaev became one of the patrons of the Kiddo charity foundation. [13][14]

According to Dragon Capital Investment Company, Ermolaev's fortune in 2016 was $322 million. That is $66 million more than in the previous year.[15]

Alef

Vadym Ermolaev is chairman of the board of Alef Corporation.[16] The corporation consists of 13 various enterprises in such industries as: manufacturing, real estate development and agricultural business.[17] The corporation employs more than 10,000 people.[18]

The enterprises that are part of the Alef Corporation are actively working in the field of agribusiness (Agroalliance, Sady Dnipra), development (Alef Estate) and production of building materials (AXOR Industry, MIROPLAST [9], “ UDK ”[10]). Alef is also engaged in the production of dental implants and medical instruments (ABM Technology).

The Alef Estate company has built such well-known objects in Dnipro as the Most-City shopping and entertainment center, the multifunctional complex CASCADE PLAZA, the Bosfor shopping and business center and some others.

Rankings

Korrespondent magazine included businessman in the list of Zolota Sotnia (Golden Hundred) with a fortune of $265 million (36th position). Vadym Ermolaev for several times has been in the list of Focus magazine annual Ukraine's Top richest people rating with the estimated wealth of:

  • 2013 – $245 million (70th position in Ukraine's Top 200 richest people);[19]
  • 2014 – $393 million (43rd position in Ukraine's Top 100 richest people in 2013);[20]
  • in 2015 – 50th position in Ukraine's Top 100 richest people in 2014;[21]
  • in 2016 – 48th position in Ukraine's Top 100 richest people in 2015.[22]

In 2015 Forbes ranked him as the 12th person of independent means, estimated the revenue from the real estate as ₴230–260 million.[23]
